My Poor Tire!

I woke up one morning to find my car all broken! I called someone to help change the tire and there was a problem with my spare. So they called in the flatbed! I had to take some pictures!

Sad!

Bryce Canyon 5K

This weekend Eric and I drove to Bryce Canyon for the 5k. The race started at 6:30 in the am. We both shaved off some time since our last 5k and Eric took 3rd place in his division! This is a picture of us before the race...if you couldn't tell...

After the race we packed up and drove around Bryce Canyon for about an hour. They had most of the canyon closed...due to a controlled burn/smoke so there was not much to do or see. We had planned on going to St. George after the race and drove through Cedar Canyon.

Update

Here is an udated picture of my leg. It is looking and feeling much better! Even though I don't look that happy. I will take another picture soon.

More Fun Up Mueller Canyon!

So a week ago today Eric and I hiked up to Elephant Rock...so much fun! The sunset was so beautiful...but it was also sunset and dark. We did not have a flashlight and wanted to get back down the trail before it was too dark so we started jogging. I totally ate it and slid down the trail on my shin and hands. My hands are better...fine really but it is my shin that will take some time to heal. This picture was pre-cleaning, but I am sad to say it does not look much better right now...it is still pretty yucky!

Cute Duckies!

I have had so much fun hiking up Mueller Canyon this summer. About 2 weeks ago Eric and I found 4 baby duckies. They were all snuggled up behind the tire of a truck parked on the side of the road. There was no mom around and we did not want to leave them there that night. Eric had a Tupperware container in his truck that we used to take them home. Thanks to friends and family we were able to get some duck food and a crate to keep them in for the night. The next day Eric took them to a wildlife refuge and dropped them off. They were very cute!
